NASSI 35th National Convention 2026 Privacy Notice and Acknowledgement Version: NASSI-PRIVACY-2026-02 Effective date: 3 October 2026

How Convention information is used

The Nigerian Association of Small Scale Industrialists (NASSI) collects and uses information submitted through the NASSI National Convention Platform for the administration of the NASSI 35th National Convention 2026.

Information may be used for account creation and verification, nominations, applications and registration, review and decision-making, event communications, accreditation and access management, enquiries, platform security and audit purposes.

Information processed may include a participant's name, email address, mobile number, State or Chapter, organisation, role, registration category, application or nomination details, correspondence, registration status, and relevant security or audit records.

Zamkah Technologies Limited and authorized NASSI personnel may operate and support the platform only within their assigned Convention responsibilities. Approved technology and communications service providers may process limited information where necessary to host, secure, store, scan or deliver platform services. Where processing or storage occurs outside Nigeria, NASSI will apply the safeguards required by applicable data-protection law.

Contact details are not made public merely because a person creates an account, is nominated, applies, or registers for the Convention.

Email, and where supported other approved communication channels, may be used for account verification, password reset, registration or application confirmation, decisions and operational Convention information.

Applications, private files and scanning

Registration information will not be used for unrelated marketing merely because it was submitted through the Convention platform. Any optional publicity, media or networking participation requiring additional consent should be presented separately and should not be selected by default.

Depending on the applicant role and the approved workflow, uploaded files may include profile or headshot photographs, Press or Media identification, Exhibitor product images, product documents or brochures, product video where applicable, and other application evidence explicitly requested for the Convention. These files are used only for the relevant Convention account, application, verification, accreditation, review, Exhibitor or Media workflow, or another clearly stated Convention purpose. Media identification and similar verification material are restricted application or accreditation information, not ordinary public profile information.

Applicant uploads are stored in private object storage. Uploading a file does not make it publicly accessible or authorize its public publication. Access is limited to authorized platform workflows and appropriate operational or review personnel. Any later selection of content for a public directory, publication, programme or other public use requires its own applicable approval or publication basis.

New uploads are placed in a restricted quarantine or scan-pending state and undergo automated file-safety and malware scanning before they can be treated as approved application assets. The platform may process technical metadata needed for security and integrity, including file type, size, cryptographic checksum, scan status or result, and scanning-service evidence. Files that fail validation or scanning, produce an indeterminate scanner result, or do not match their declared file type are not usable as approved application assets. Automated scanning does not guarantee detection of every malicious file.

Automated file-safety scanning is used for security purposes only and does not by itself determine whether a Media, Exhibitor or other Convention application is approved; application and accreditation decisions remain subject to the applicable human review process.

Retention

Convention information will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for Convention administration, accreditation, security, audit, dispute handling, applicable legal obligations and approved institutional recordkeeping. Different categories of information may be retained for different periods. Where information is no longer required and no legal, audit or operational reason requires its continued retention, it will be deleted, anonymised or otherwise handled in accordance with NASSI’s approved data-handling procedures.

Individual rights

Subject to applicable law, individuals may request access to personal information held about them, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, and where applicable request restriction, deletion, portability or object to certain processing. Individuals may also raise a privacy complaint with NASSI and may lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Requests may be subject to identity verification and applicable legal or record-preservation requirements.
